Product

Lay a rose upon the graves
In a silent kiss goodbye
Reflecting on the dead and gone
I can't believe I'm still alive
Somehow I've seen it through
As they fell one by one
The pain inside just makes me stronger
When all is said and done

Sitting alone in my cell
locked away from all of you
I know
I'm a product of a bad school

When I find myself alone
Looking back in time
I read a page from yesterday
I've captured in my mind
Reaching back to touch again
A face I used to know
Gives me the strength to carry on
And win this game alone

Sitting alone in my cell
locked away from all of you
I know
I'm a product of a bad school

Nothing lasts forever
But memories live on
A frozen image of a smile
I keep and carry on
Glued to walls of stone
Pictures of my kids
Smile at me from yesterday
A life I used to live

But now I'm
Sitting alone in my cell
locked away from all of you
I know
I'm a product of a bad school

Behind Enemy Lines

(Dedicated to Senator John McCain and all of the other brave American P.O.W.'s of the Viet Nam Conflict)

High over Hanoi
Raining flaming death from the night
Anit-aircraft lock-on alarms
Eject into hostile skies

Into hostile skies

Bones broken on impact
Blacking out from the pain
Surrounded and captured
No chance to evade
Live
To fight another day

Behind enemy lines

A reservation at the Hanoi Hilton
Daily torture awaits
Pressured to sign the "war crimes" confession
Beaten past the point where every man breaks

Left behind enemy lines
Gone but not forgotten

Beside Still Waters

Cast adrift upon these dark and storm - tossed seas
Clouds of chaos hide the stars as land fades out of sight behind me
Stranded on the shoals I linger
Fleeting sense of sanctuary
Before the rising tide sweeps me into the storm again

My body floats to the surface
Borne by waves of consequence
If this is really all there is
I would gladly see an end
Put to all of this frustration
Animosity and strife
This ill-fated voyage
On the darkened seas of life

Ever rising desperation
As the last light fades
Clutching only emptiness
My pain never betrays
The slow suffocation
My conscience holds me down
Break the windows of my soul
So I can finally drown

Laying open arteries
I watch life drain away
Fading glimpses of the smiles
That I tried to save for better days
Now I draw the veil of silence
Across my haunted eyes
As everything that's left of me
Is taken by the tide

Ever waiting patiently
The darkness warm and safe
She is not my enemy
She softly breathes my name
Gather darkness, comfort me
Close my tired eyes
Lead me beside still waters
so I can rest a while

But there is no pain in this quiet place

Here beside still waters
I can breathe again
A moment of peace as tides of pain
swell and rise within
I walk among the tombstones
In the graveyard of my memories
Where rotten flowers feed the earth
And long dead hearts still bleed

The current running stronger now
As I turn my face into the wind
And it scatters some painful memories
As chaos welcomes me home again
The pain returns like a lover
The maelstrom has made us as one
Together we are carried away
To where only dark currents run

The siren song of self destruction
Echoes in my head
I've followed her advice before
And somehow I've survived instead
My lungs still draw this clean air
As chaos sets me free
Only change is permanent
So there's Hope while there's still air to breathe

Ever waiting patiently
The darkness warm and safe
She is not my enemy
She softly breathes my name
Gather darkness, comfort me
Close my tired eyes
Lead me beside still waters
so I can rest a while

The Madman And The Desert

Barefoot and dirty
He wandered into town
His madness reached the people
And some followed him around
They thought he had the answer
To the questions in their lives
They fed on his insanity
Convinced he was divine

And the voices in his head
Would not leave him alone
The madman walked the desert
And they carved his words in stone
And they called it a religion
After he was crucified
I can't believe they never saw
The madness in his eyes

He walked among the lepers
And the women washed his feet
And by the shores of Gallilee
They came to hear him speak
They said he walked on water
And his touch could raise the dead
But the words they thought were holy
Came from voices in his head

And the voices in his head
Would not leave him alone
The madman walked the desert
And they carved his words in stone
And they called it a religion
After he was crucified
I can't believe they never saw
The madness in his eyes

Drums Of War

The drums of war beat loudly here
In the valley of the damned
A savage dance of hatred
Such is the natural state of man
In agony through centuries
And still no will to change
Blood-stained hands breaking bones
Such is the Noble Truth of Pain

Fragile forms, the weaker
Are threatened from within
As natural selection
Favors stronger forms again

The drums of war beat loudly for
The population of loss
The peasants are revolting
Such is the burden of their cross
No one ever wants to change
So nothing satiates
As we feed upon each other
Such is life on Planet Hate

Nature red in tooth and claw
Smiles upon her killing fields
As we, her bastard sons
Lick these wounds that never heal
And I can hear the lost souls cry out to me
From a world that I've tried to leave behind
But I know I will never live within
The world I can see in my mind

The drums of war beat loudly here
In the eternal city of woe
Soaked in rising tdes of blood
Such is the darkness in our souls
Perpetual this misery
Inherited at birth
As history repeats itself
Such is the fate of Planet Earth

Nature red in tooth and claw
Smiles upon her killing fields
As we, her bastard sons
Lick these wounds that never heal
And I can hear the lost souls cry out to me
From a world that I've tried to leave behind
But I know I will never live within
The world I can see in my mind

Rows of silent crosses
Speak rivers of bloodsoaked lies
An eternal testimonial
To the animal who lives inside us all

Fragile forms, the weaker
Are threatened from within
As natural selection
Favors stronger forms again

Every hope abandoned
By we who've entered in
Redemption fades away
For the eternally condemned
So Let us wallow in
Our eternal pain
An ever-expanding wave
That rolls from age to age

The Lion Of Sparta

From out of the darkness they came
The numberless hordes of the East
300 Spartans follow The Lion
To safeguard Democracy

Glory awaits at The Hot Gates
The dreams of a lifetime complete
Better to die here as free men
Than live as slaves on our kness
There shall be no retreat

Behold the crimson glory of Sparta
Their blood stains our spears and shields
Every man born must die
But brave men cannot yield

Down through the centuries
Men will honor our deeds this day
As long as free men breathe
They will remember
Remember Thermopylae

Go Tell the Spartans, Strangers who pass us by
That we still honor her laws, Still here we lie

The Persian elite break like waves upon us
And we pile their bodies to the sky
Not one enemy shall pass
Until after the last Spartan dies

Down through the centuries
Men will honor our deeds this day
As long as free men breathe
They will remember
Remember Thermopylae

The Traitor leads ten thousand behind us
Elysian Fields beckon us all
But the body of The Lion
Shall not be desecrated
Until after the last Spartan falls

Sealed In Blood

Knight of the Order of St. John
This rock that none shall pass
Kneel before the altar in the citadel
With naked steel in hand

Now all these years of war and pain
Have made me stronger
Than anyone who dares
To test my steel
The Promise can never be broken
I sealed it
With my blood
Sealed in blood

Hold The line defender of the faith
Now you will stand as they come again
The Turks and Moors and Saracens will challenge us again
And their blood will wash ashore

Now all these years of war and pain
Have made me stronger
Than anyone who dares
To test my steel
The Promise can never be broken
I sealed it
With my blood
Sealed in blood

Knight of the Order of St. John
This rock that none shall pass
Kneel before the icon of the virgin
Gran Castello overlooks the bay

Now all these years of war and pain
Have made me stronger
Than anyone who dares
To test my steel
The Promise can never be broken
I sealed it
With my blood
Sealed in blood

Grandad

Sat alone in a garden of stone
And I wrote a song for you
A warm breeze blew the leaves from your name
And I felt a little closer to you

Said a prayer that you're resting in peace
In a warm and better place
I thought of the lessons you taught
And a tear rolled down my face

I see the stars
In a cold and lonely sky
It's so hard
To try and say goodbye

Sat alone with a memory of you
And I listened to your words of advice
The wisdom and the love that you shared
Have helped me through this life

I see the stars
In a cold and lonely sky
It's so hard
To try and say goodbye

Sat alone in a garden of stone
And I wrote a song for you
A warm breeze blew the leaves from your name
And I felt a little closer to you

I see the stars
In a cold and lonely sky
It's so hard
To try and say goodbye

The Unbeliever

Stillborn
Of dead god's embryonic dreams
Answers never come to hush the endless screams
Lifted to an empty sky
Always left to wonder why
Never understanding why it takes so long to die

Brain dead and blindly drifting
Through the centuries
Complacent with the subjugation
Burn the ones who dare to speak
The masses suffer for your pleasure
Huddled herds in abject fear
Who wait in vain for generations
For some answers to their prayers

The twisted nails- we've carried this cross for far too long
Your faith has failed-to stop the world from going this wrong
You bow your heads-before the image of another false god
Your faith is dead- buried in the earth and left to rot

You spread your false gospel of peace
With fire and the sword
Your hands are stained with the blood of the Innocent
Countless millions who've died for your lord Beaten, tortured, raped and defiled
Force - fed the ancient lies
By wolves who wear sheep's clothing
To prey on the young and the simplest of minds

The twisted nails- we've carried this cross for far too long
Your faith has failed-to stop the world from going this wrong
You bow your heads-before the image of another false god
Your faith is dead- buried in the earth and left to rot

For countless generations you've drowned the dreams
Of the lost souls who've trusted in you
In the blood, sweat and tears of your hatred and fears
For a cancerous promise untrue
Malicious parasitic dependence
On all of the brainwashed minds
That trust you not to lead them astray
The crippled sheep that you leave behind

The twisted nails- we've carried this cross for far too long
Your faith has failed-to stop the world from going this wrong
You bow your heads-before the image of another false god
Your faith is dead- buried in the earth and left to rot

Deified insanity
A mass gang rape of the sheep
Your dogmatic perverted morality
Causes all of the suffering you need
To propogate your obscenities
And baptize us with our own blood
The degradation of subjugation
Thy will shall no longer be done

The twisted nails- we've carried this cross for far too long
Your faith has failed-to stop the world from going this wrong
You bow your heads-before the image of another false god
Your faith is dead- buried in the earth and left to rot

Cursed Are The Weak

Blessed are the twisted
Blessed are the freaks
Blessed are we-The fallen from grace
Cursed are the weak
Cursed are the weak

Blessed are the fallen
Blessed are the sick
Blessed are we-The drinkers of blood
Cursed are the weak
Cursed are the weak

The meek shall not inherit the earth
I promise you this
We with the will to power shall lead
Leave the weak to wallow in their own shit
Wallow in their own shit.

Blessed are the hated
Blessed the souls that we've sworn to keep
Blessed are we-the fucked in the head
Cursed are the weak
Cursed are the weak

The meek shall not inherit the earth
I promise you this
We with the will to power shall lead
Leave the weak to wallow in their own shit
Wallow in their own shit.

Avidya

Driven mad with suffering
We blindly cling to life
We remember only pain

We choose illusions
Pale shadows on the wall
We've always known the truth and turned away

Avidya-denied Nirvana
Avidya-shackled here in Samsarra

Arrogant in ignorance
We've lost our way
Empty words led the sheep astray

Hostage to hatred
We refuse to liberate
We have forgotten we are one

Tortured by existence
Still afraid to let it end
Familiarity breeds contempt

Self- Inflicted
The constant pain of life
These hollow shells we try to leave behind

Avidya-denied Nirvana
Avidya-shackled here in Samsarra

And we cling to this form
Still we hunger for flesh
We are condemned to be born
Again and again and again

This brief existence
An Echo in the well
A re-occuring dream of lonliness

Harboring attatchments
These chains that bind us here
The pain never quites us feel complete

Conquored and punished
Enjoyed and destroyed
Still desire brings us back again

Self- Inflicted
The wheel turns again
Until we learn the noble truth of pain

Avidya-denied Nirvana
Avidya-shackled here in Samsarra

And we cling to this form
Still we hunger for flesh
We are condemned to be born
Again and again and again

Illusion seperates
On a path of inner peace
Serenity is waiting in the void

Self-Inflicted
This chain of countless lives
Show me the way to another good world

Rise Again

Hide my face from the sun
Cool darkness shelter me
Sometimes the light just burns
And these open wounds are festering
Still I try to break
These chains of consequence
Stumbling through the wreakage of my past
Rising just to fall again

So you've tried to hold me down
I will bite the hands that beat me
And I guess I can take some pride
In the fact that I'll never be just like you
I'd kill myself before I'd be like you

Rise from a broken life
Smiling as the bridges burn
These scars tell the story of a few mistakes
Hard lessons that I've had to learn
Now I stand above it all
As twilight settles in
And a cool breeze of memory
Soothes my blistered skin

I am my only enemy
You wouldn't believe the things I've done to me
I scream-scream out loud
Try to wake myself
From this nightmare that I call my life

From the ashes
I will arise
Turn my back to all your pain
And search for bluer skies
From the ashes
Hope is born again
To help me make it through the night
Till morning comes again

Rise
From the ashes of self destruction
From the ashes of self destruction
I will rise

A Taste Of Pain

Nobility in suffering
Crawling on
our scabbed and bleeding knees
This Human bondage
My wish id your command
Sweet and tender flesh
Beneath my shaking hands

As I force it in you
There is no denial
When I lock my hands around your throat
I can almost see you smile

Captive beauty
Bound to serve my needs
Degradation
Your violated flesh still bleeds
Nobility in suffering
Crawling on
our scabbed and bleeding knees
This Human bondage

As I force it in you
There is no denial
When I lock my hands around your throat
I can almost see you smile

All love fades
Everything will end in pain
So while you lie below me
I savor the taste
All love fades
Even when it's so depraved
It's only natural
To love the taste of pain

As I force it in you
There is no denial
When I lock my hands around your throat
I can always see you smile

Nobility in suffering
Crawling on
our scabbed and bleeding knees
This Human bondage
Nobility in suffering
Crawling on
our scabbed and bleeding knees
This Human bondage

As I force it in you
There is no denial
When I lock my hands around your throat
I can always see you smile

All love fades
Everything will end in pain
So while you lie below me
I savor the taste
All love fades
Even when it's so depraved

I love the taste of pain
